What this notice covers
This notice explains how privatejetchartersandiego.com handles information you give us when you request a private jet charter quote for San Diego. We are a charter broker: we arrange flights, and the flying itself is done by independent operators who hold their own certificates and operational control. That distinction shapes how your information moves, so it is worth understanding before you send us anything.
If you use this site to ask about a flight, you are dealing with us as the arranger. The operator who eventually flies you is a separate business with its own privacy practices, and we cannot speak for them beyond what we describe here.
The information we collect from you
We collect what we need to price and arrange a flight. That usually means your name, a phone number, an email address, and the details of the trip: where you are leaving from, where you are going, your dates, how many passengers are traveling, and any baggage or timing requirements that affect which aircraft makes sense. If you tell us about a pet, a wheelchair, or a tight connection to a commercial flight, that goes into the same record because the operator needs it to plan.
We do not ask for payment card numbers through this site, and you should not send them. We also do not ask for passport numbers at the quote stage; that comes later, handled by the operator for manifest and customs purposes when a flight is actually booked. Beyond what you type into a form or say on a call, our web server may log basic technical information such as your browser type, the pages you viewed, and the approximate location that comes with any internet request.
Why we ask for it and how it is used
The short answer is that we cannot quote a flight without it. Aircraft type, crew availability and pricing all depend on your specific trip, and a rough guess is not useful to you. We use your contact details to send the quote, to answer follow-up questions, and to let you know if an option changes or a better aircraft becomes available for your dates.
We also use the details of past requests in aggregate, with names and contact information removed, to understand which routes and aircraft people ask about most. That helps us keep the information on the site relevant to travelers leaving from and arriving at San Diego.
Sharing your trip details with operators
To get you a real number, we send your trip details to one or more operators who can actually perform the flight. Those operators need the route, dates, passenger count and any special requirements in order to check availability and price the trip. They receive your name and contact information only as needed to respond to the request, and they are expected to use it for that purpose.
We do not sell your information, and we do not hand it to marketing lists. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect against fraud or misuse of the site. If a request moves forward to a booking, the operator you choose will collect additional information directly from you, and their own notice governs that part of the relationship.
Call recording and retention
Phone calls with our brokers may be recorded for quality and training purposes, and to keep an accurate record of what was quoted. If a call is being recorded, we tell you at the start so you can decide how to proceed. Recordings are kept only as long as they serve that purpose.
Quote requests are retained while your trip is active and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping and follow-up. After that they are deleted or stripped of identifying details. You can ask us to delete your request sooner, subject to any records we are required to keep.
Questions about your information
You can ask what we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@privatejetchartersandiego.com with enough detail for us to find your request, such as the email address or phone number you used and the approximate dates of the trip. We will respond within a reasonable time.
If your question is about a flight that has already been booked, contact the operator directly as well, since they hold their own records. Changes to this notice will be posted on this page, and the practices described here apply to quote requests made through this site.
